The agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and CashTrack ("we", "us", "our"), operated from New Jersey, United States. They cover your use of our website (cashtracks.app), mobile apps, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
Plain summary: Be honest, don't break the law, and treat the Service like a tool — not financial advice. Pay for what you use. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. We can change features as the product evolves.
Your account
To use most features of CashTrack you need an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current information.
- Keep your password, MFA codes, and login codes confidential.
- Be responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions by workers you invite.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 18 years old to use CashTrack. If you create an account on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
- Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service.
- Probe for vulnerabilities outside of an authorized security disclosure program.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with a business.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's rights or contains malware.
- Use the Service to surveil workers in ways that violate applicable labor or privacy law.
- Connect a bank account you don't own or are not authorized to access.
We can suspend or close accounts that violate this section.
Your content
Your closeout entries, business records, photos, worker assignments, notes, and other data you enter into the Service are your content. You own it. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, back up, encrypt, and display that content solely so we can provide the Service to you and your authorized team members.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and for keeping your own copies where required by law. You can export your business data from inside the app at any time using the Export Data screen.
Plans, subscriptions & payment
The core CashTrack experience is free. CashTrack Pro unlocks premium features (multi-store, advanced reports, worker permissions, exports, bank tools, and more) on monthly or yearly subscriptions.
How billing works:
- All Pro subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Apple or Google processes the payment, charges your account, and handles renewals. We never see your full payment card details.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the chosen interval unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the chosen plan.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or Google Play account settings (Android) after purchase.
- Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which Apple or Google will display at checkout.
Price changes: we may change subscription prices from time to time. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email and inside the app before any price increase applies to your existing subscription. Continuing to use Pro after the change takes effect means you accept the new price.
Refunds & cancellation
You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; Pro access continues through the end of the period you've already paid for.
Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies — not by us. To request a refund:
- iOS: visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: visit Google's Play Store refund page
Fees are otherwise non-refundable except where required by law.
Bank connections via Plaid
If you choose to connect a bank account to CashTrack, the connection is provided by Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"). When you initiate a bank connection, you agree to Plaid's End User License Agreement, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-license-agreement, and Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to connect any bank account you link to CashTrack. You confirm that the credentials you provide to Plaid are your own (or that you have authority to use them on behalf of the relevant business) and that connecting the account does not violate any agreement with your bank.
We have no control over your bank, Plaid, or the accuracy of the data they return. Transaction amounts, descriptions, balances, and timing reflect what Plaid relays from your bank. We are not responsible for delays, errors, or omissions in that data.
Waitlist & beta
Joining the waitlist means we will email you product updates and invite you to early access when it opens. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any waitlist email.
Beta features may be incomplete, may change without notice, and may have bugs. Do not rely on a beta feature for anything mission-critical.
Our intellectual property
The CashTrack name, logo, brand, software, design, source code, documentation, and content (other than your content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms — nothing more. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Disclaimers
CashTrack is a record-keeping and reconciliation tool. It is not accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, or financial advice. Numbers and reports produced by the Service are based on data you and your workers enter and on transaction data returned by your bank through Plaid — they may not match formal accounting standards. For tax filings, regulatory compliance, audited financial statements, or any other regulated activity, consult a qualified professional.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages — in those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CashTrack and its operator from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms; (b) content or data you upload to the Service; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right, including any unauthorized bank connection; or (d) your business operations conducted using the Service.
Termination
You can stop using CashTrack and delete your account at any time using the Delete Account screen inside the app. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you poses a security or legal risk. Where we can give reasonable advance notice, we will.
After termination, you can request export or deletion of your data for up to 30 days. Sections of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination — including ownership of intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, United States, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
You and we agree that any claim must be brought in your or our individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. This does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the product and applicable law evolve. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice by email and inside the app. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them. If you don't, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
