Summary
CashTrack helps store owners manage daily closeouts, worker submissions, reports, and bank reconciliation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Plain version: We collect what we need to run CashTrack. We do not sell your personal information. Bank login details are handled by Plaid, not CashTrack. You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data.
Information we collect
We may collect the following information when you use CashTrack:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, login details, business name, store details, and worker invitations.
- Store records: closeouts, cash counts, sales totals, expenses, notes, approvals, reports, and worker activity.
- Bank data: if you connect a bank account through Plaid, we may receive account names, balances, transactions, dates, amounts, and descriptions.
- Subscription data: subscription status and purchase identifiers from Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. We do not receive your full card number.
- Support and waitlist data: email address, store type, store count, feedback, and support messages you send us.
- Technical data: device type, app version, logs, crash reports, IP-based approximate location, and basic usage events needed to keep the app reliable and secure.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide closeout, reporting, worker-management, and reconciliation features.
- Create and secure accounts.
- Show owners the records submitted by their stores and workers.
- Match closeouts against bank activity when a bank is connected.
- Send service messages, waitlist updates, security notices, and support replies.
- Process subscriptions and manage access to paid features.
- Fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve CashTrack.
- Comply with legal, tax, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.
Bank connections
Connecting a bank account is optional. CashTrack uses Plaid to connect bank accounts and retrieve bank data for reconciliation.
- You enter bank credentials directly through Plaid. CashTrack does not see or store your bank password.
- Plaid may provide CashTrack with bank account and transaction data so we can match deposits, expenses, and closeouts.
- You should only connect accounts you own or are authorized to manage for the business.
- You can disconnect a bank connection from inside the app or by contacting us.
Plaid's handling of data is described in Plaid's legal and privacy terms at plaid.com/legal.
Security & retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. These include encrypted connections, access controls, hosted database security, and limited internal access.
No online service is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident that affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide CashTrack, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize information unless we need to keep it for legal, security, tax, or legitimate business reasons.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your information. You can also unsubscribe from waitlist emails, turn off push notifications, disconnect bank accounts, or stop using CashTrack.
Some requests may require identity verification. We may retain limited information where required by law, for security, or for legitimate business records.
CashTrack is intended for adults running or managing a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
